On the web#
Open Settings > Notifications. The page has these groups:
- Web Notifications: Desktop notifications, New email notifications, Sound notification and VIP only.
- Morning Brief: a daily summary of your inbox.
- AI Notifications: smart cleanup alerts, intent badges and a notice when an AI draft is ready.
- Quiet Hours: pauses notifications between a start and end time.
- Delivery Preferences: Digest mode batches notifications.
- Marketing Emails: product news. You still receive important account, security and billing emails.
Browser push#
- Turn on Desktop notifications.
- Allow notifications when your browser asks.
If the page says notifications are blocked, allow them for SipherMail in your browser’s site settings, then turn the switch on again.
In the iPhone and Android apps#
Open Settings > Notifications.
- Push Notifications, Notification Sound and App Badge Count sit at the top.
- Under Email Notifications you can limit alerts to VIP contacts only.
- Notification Content controls whether the sender, subject and preview appear.
- Quiet Hours mutes notifications during the hours you set.
If push is off at system level, the app asks you to enable notifications for SipherMail in your phone’s own settings.
Morning brief#
Turn on Daily Morning Brief, then choose a delivery time and timezone. The brief is a Sipher AI feature, so it stops when privacy mode is on. See Sipher AI.
