Saved searches

Save a search once, pin it, and run it again in one click on the web or from Settings in the mobile apps.

A saved search stores the search text, such as from:anna has:attachment, under a name you choose. It stores the text only, never the messages. Running it repeats the search against your current mail. For the text you can use, see Search operators.

Save a search on the web#

  1. Run a search in the Search messages... box.
  2. Select the Saved searches icon at the right of the box.
  3. Type a name, for example Invoices from Anna. Names can be up to 80 characters.
  4. Select Save.

You can also use Save current search under Saved searches in the sidebar, below your folders and labels. The Save button stays off until there is a search to save.

If you set up the search in the Advanced Search window, SipherMail saves the same search as operator text.

Run, pin, rename and delete#

Your saved searches are listed in the sidebar and in the same icon menu. Select one to run it in the Inbox. Each row has buttons to:

  • Pin or unpin it. Pinned searches show a pin icon.
  • Rename it.
  • Delete it. A confirmation asks Delete "name"? with Delete and Keep.

You can keep up to 50 saved searches. Delete one to add another.

On iPhone and Android#

Open Settings > Saved searches. Tap a search to run it in the normal mail search with its text already filled in. From the same screen you can pin, rename, edit the text of, and delete a saved search.
